![]() Thank you for inspiring me, it's been a pleasure wearing your art for the last few years. I doubt this was made with your permission but it was my favorite jacket and one that led me to find your art. That’s probably because Crumb himself wrote it and remained heavily involved with the production, to the point where he actually hand-lettered the credits. I have been looking everywhere for it and have just accepted I have lost it and it's not one that I can probably ever replace. The BBC Arena documentary, The Confessions of Robert Crumb, is less a documentary about his life (though it does cover that) and more a filmic extension of Crumb’s artistic work. When I went to wash my clothes I realized I had misplaced it. Today I realized I hadn't worn the jacket in a few weeks thinking it was dirty. After finding your artwork I fell in love. The whole time I'd thought it was a carpet company's original design. So when she explained that the design on the back was your "keep on truckin" design but adapted into three men holding rolls of carpet I couldn't help but find it all to be very amusing. I had no idea who you were or why she asked. ![]() One day a friend noticed I'd worn the jacket almost every time it got cold out and asked if I was a big Robert Crumb fan. I'd been drawing all my life but my cartoons started changing and reflect more of my life in a whimsical and amused way and in my cartoons I always drew myself wearing this jacket. The fit was perfect, wear, and design were all perfect. After washing it and wearing it I pretty quickly realized it had become my favorite jacket. I picked it out by it's flame covered sleeves and bought it for about $1.20. Hidden in ripped and stained clothing was a well worn zip up hoodie. ![]() A few years ago I was rifling through the Goodwill bins here in California. ![]()
